how much should i give
The Bible says every believer should give a minimum of 10% of their income, a tithe, to their local church. Anything over 10% is called an offering or gift. We understand that 10% may seem impossible, especially when your faith is new; however, we encourage you to take whatever step God is leading you. He wants you to be a cheerful giver and trust Him in this area of your life.
“Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” 2 Corinthians 9:6-7
“If you cannot live off 90% of your income, then you cannot live off 100%. It does not require a miracle for you to get through the month. I think that if you sit down and look at your budget, you will see that you can make it while giving at least 10%. Read the Bible and take from it what you will, and if you tithe,do it out of love for God, not guilt.” Dave Ramsey
